The Audit Process

Quote stage: Gather information on the size of the organization, number of personnel, and processes performed. Output is submission of a contract.

Contract acceptance: Quote is returned from the client and a formal contract is opened.

Planning: Certech identifies a suitable auditor based up industry experience, the auditor than agrees audit dates with the client and prepares a formal plan for the stage 1 audit and forwards it to the client.

The Stage 1 audit: allows the auditor to understand your business and your readiness for the stage 2 audit. The stage 1 also allows the auditor to understand the context and your system. From this knowledge the auditor prepares a plan for the stage 2 audit.

The Stage 2 audit: allows the auditor (armed with knowledge of your business, its hazards/issues (from the Stage-1 audit) to establish the effectiveness of your system in meeting the requirements of applicable standard(s) and your stated objectives.
Certech Certificate Issue is amongst the fastest in the registration industry; clients normally receive their ISO certificates within a few days of successful completion of the Stage-2 audit.

Surveillance audits are mandated for the next 2 years to ensure that the system remains valid.

Renewal audits: Renewal happens every 3 years, and certificate is updated.

At Certech we believe that the audit process should be about good communication between the client, Auditee, and the auditor.
Our approach to certification ensures that the auditor is at your facility for all of the important stages of the audit process.

Certificate Issue and Control

Certificates are issued after completion of a successful stage 2 initial audit, a formal review of all audit documents conducted by Certech management. The certificate reflects the scope of the audit performed.

Certificates may be suspended or withdrawn if a) Client fails to agree to a surveillance audit, b) A major corrective action is issued and the client fails to provide sufficient to close it, c) the client cancels certification, and d) client fails to address known breaches of legislation and regulations (EMS & OHAS).

Changes to the scope of a certified procedure are reviewed by Certech management and if accepted the certificate is updated.

The certificate remains the property of Certech.

Certech will confirm the validity or otherwise upon request from an interested party.
