A Recent Amendment To The Standards We Audit

ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 were amended in February (Amd.1:2024) to include in 4.1 “The organization shall determine whether climate change is a relevant issue”.

ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 were amended in February (Amd.1:2024) to include in 4.1 “The organization shall determine whether climate change is a relevant issue”.

Implementation – This will now be included in all audits

Where no evidence of conformance is available corrective actions will be issued

Guidance – ISO 9001 certified companies must consider a) If their interested parties have concerns related to Global warming that should be addressed, or/and b) Can the effects (floods, heat, cold, storms, etc.) of global warming impact their ability to deliver quality products and service.

Records should be in the same format as for existing context/interested parties’ information (SWOT, PESTLE, Spreadsheets, etc.)
